I am a Canadian citizen who marraied an ex-child soldier that was able to get out. I read this and it helped me feel less alone and it also made my heart reach for this young man. There is hope for those of you who have been stolen into combat. My beloved husband fought for nearly 12 years after witnessing the destruction of his entire family around the same age as emmanuel. It has been hard and we continue to struggle - but there is hope. Stay strong. Love is the key.
